Cancer: Won't back down

On my past blog for journalism 1 I mentioned my neighbor who was diagnosed with stage four metastatic cancer. Put in other terms, a very serious form of breast cancer. My neighbor is only 39 and has already battled cancer before. However it has come back and this time even stronger. However, she has remained strong and is constantly posting on her facebook and blog about the obstacles she has over come and how she has stayed positive. With four kids, and a baby that is not even a year old, I guess she feels like she has to. Her posts constantly remind that when things like homework seem to ruin my day, there are people out there with more severe problems, sometimes life-threatening. Showing that she won't back down gives us the ability to always look at the glass half full.

looking at life's bad situations in their point of view really does make our life seem very nice and easy. having to deal with cancer the second time round is not easy at all, and I applaud her for doing what she can- like feeling spirited- during the rollercoaster she is on. Maybe one day we will find a cure, and all of this can teach us that we should never back down from anything we put our minds to...... man, didn't realize i wrote so much..... but yeah, she shows us that our life is not to be taken for granted. Keep writing on your old blog!!!
