Uhh... Kinda freaking out.

Okay, so my high school years haven't been too great or anything, just saying because of my home life. Dealing with divorce and stuff like that, most teens my age deal with it. So, my mom has been dating for a few months. Yeah, its kind of weird and all, but on Christmas eve this year, I find out that my mom is engaged... Uhhhhh okay.....

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her completely. Its just like... Whoa.. ya know? Eh, Ill get used to it sooner or later, its just like *BOOM*.

ummm this isn't your own personal journal. Write about something actually relevant to the school please? thanks

Actually, I wish you'd expand. This is something that many students deal with and it's not easy. However hard it is, I'm glad your Mom is happy.

Anonymous,
I totally disagree. Like Mr. Nichols said, this is something many students deal with. Just because it's the school paper blog doesn't mean everything written has to do with the school.
In fact, I would say this has plenty to do with the school. It deals with experiences that help us grow and issues we confront in our time here. I don't see how this is any less "relevant" than any of the blogs about Twilight or intense homework loads or sports games.

Jimmy - I think it's really great for you to open yourself up on the blog. Not many people would choose about something like this, so props to you! I'm sure in time you will slowly get used to the idea.

Anonymous- you don't think personal afflictions are relevant to school? it surprizes me that you could say something so heartless. If you don't like to read about our school and the people that make it great then you don't have to.
And we don't have to read your ridiculous and hurtful comments. This is a place where we shuold feel safe to talk.
This blog hit close to home for me, my parents have been divorced for a while- and it was incredibly hard for me when my mom started dating it was hard on me and my brothers. I can only tell you that it does get easier, and they will eventually become apart of the family (partly because they try so hard to please sometimes)...

Anonymous, are you staying anonymous just because you knew that your comment was stupid? I'm just curious.
