Minesweeper

The game minesweeper has always puzzled me. It's one of those games that come on a computer and you play when you are extremely bored on the computer. I mean, what is the strategy to the game? Do you randomly press the squares? Do you push the squares next to certain numbers? If there is a strategy it's unknown to me . . .
