Religulous

Recently, I went out out to see the new Bill Maher movie, Religulous. It has got to be one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. It's essentially a satire on religion in general and it pokes fun at various oddities and inconsistencies. Bill Maher was hilarious the whole way through, but he managed to remain more or less respectful. To say the least, the topic is a little sensitive, and I doubt everyone will appreciate it quite as much as I did, but nonetheless, I found it to be a funny and, at times, an extremely educational documentary. He brings up a ton of new facts, mostly specific quotes from people, texts, etc. that really change your interpretation of those people, texts, etc. So, even if you don't agree with Maher's viewpoint, it's hard not enjoy his funny spin on things and just the overall way that he presents himself. He lays out his argument artfully, and tries to pass on a message, and no matter what your beliefs, it's hard to deny how important that kind of activist attitude is to humanity.

I love this movie! It really hilights many of the general inconsistencies of most major religions. Should be shown in school! (just kidding...or am i?)
