Homecoming Dance

This year, i think the dance activities committee went above and beyond in decorating for the dance. The activities in asb is in charge of all dances, setting up and tearing down. Typically dance set-up starts at 5:30am on Saturday morning, and goes until about 10ish. This year, things were different. The activities committee, along with those on dance set-up, decided to stay after the football game on friday night to set up in efforts to sleep in on Saturday morning. The comittiee was there until about 2:30am decorating for the event. I have to say, all the hard work showed through because the dance looked amazing. The spotlights outside could be seen miles and miles away and were very "broadway" looking. the red carpet and bouncers outside made the entrance line extend all the way to the cafeteria, but it captured the theme very well. Also, the decorations inside were very nice. There were movie posters on the walls and a nice poster. The backdrop looked very special with a red carpet and drama maks' which tied into the theme perfectly. The music was alright, nothing too special, however, I liked how they played good music the last 30 mintues instead of techno and i think more people stayed till the end. Overall, the decorations were amazing, but the actual dance didn't seem as fun as last year.
