THE BIG DAY.

It's election day, the day every candidate has been waiting for for about three weeks now. And with election day comes the last minute push to get everyone voting. Kayce Tynan had troops of sign-wavers at the corner of the three intersections around RHS's perimeter. Stephanie Nguyen had green balloons that read "Vote for Stephanie!" tied to people's backpacks. Nona Bhatia has a slew of people wearing her tie-dyed shirts. But more important than all the posters, slogans, candies, and cupcakes, the most important thing is the actual voting. Nichols just told us that Student Government elections only attract 10%-15% percent of our entire school's population. Quite honestly, that's pathetic. I know how spirited our school is; I see people who go above and beyond every dress-up day during spirit weeks to make sure they get the class spirit points. Voting is pretty important, but we seem to have only a little bit support from the student body. So just get out and make sure you vote. It really does help everyone have a say when it comes to how our school activities run. If you don't vote, then don't complain about how events turn out in the end.

10-15% is pretty bad - for sophomores thats less than 50 people.
