Behind the Scenes

Last Wednesday I got a nice break from touring colleges and AP studying to go to Universal Studios in Hollywood. My dad's friend was able to get us free tickets plus a priority pass which got us to the front of the lines which was sooo awesome. There wasn't very many rides but the studio tour completely made up for it. We got to see parts of the sets from Psycho, To Kill a Mockingbird, Big Fat Liar, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Desperate Housewives. As we drove by each one they played the clip from the movie/show in which the set was used. It made it seem so surreal and almost as if you were actually inside of the movie/show. Plus, we also got to see special effects demonstrations along the way. Seeing the magic behind the movies and all the detail that goes into each set was amazing and makes me want to somehow get into the movie making business. Not to mention that just being in the same vicinity of where famous actresses and actors have walked made me giddy. It was definitely a great experience that I will never forget.
