It's a small world after all

At times, this world can seem so huge, considering there are 6,903,714,751 people in the world as of 3:42 on March 4, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. But maybe it is not really that big after all. The theme of Disney's It A Small World ride is that we all so similar despite how many of us there are or how far away we are from other countries. Also, technology has brought us together. Facebook can connect us with people all over the world. I, myself, have Facebook friends from both Italy and France. Yet, sometimes coincidences can also make this world seem a lot smaller. Just recently, I was talking with my friend, Mikaela Yerkes, and we discovered that we both lived in Arizona at the same time and we would have gone to the same high school if we both still lived there. Out of all the places to live in the world, both of us lived in two of the same exact towns at the same exact time. I was shocked. Even though the population is growing, we are still all human and will be connected no matter how far we are. So maybe it really is a small world after all.

Fun Fact: The population increased by 3,328 in the 24 minutes it took me to write this.
