SAT Stress

The SAT's are coming up really soon, but it seems like the advertising is going poorly. I think there is a lot of confusion as to when the SAT's are going to be held, aside from the PSAT's and the ACT's. This is very frusterating for those planning to take the upcoming SAT test like me and my friends. Senior's this year have until December to get their final scores in, but Juniors are just beginning the process. From everything that I've heard, the SAT's are very difficult, long and that the workshops are very helpful. Depending on whick college your applying to, depends on how many tests you need to take. If your applying to a UC college, I believe you have to take either the SAT's or ACT's and 2 SAT subject tests. Sounds like a lot of work... Im very stressed to take the tests especially beacuse I feel so unprepared. Maybe by taking a few prep classes will ease that stress.

You and your friends need to go into the C&CC and ASK. Ms. Cutts is perfectly willing to answer any and all of those questions. Another helpful site that you NEED to sign up for if you're planning to go to college (or sign up for the SATs) is www.collegeboard.com.
Only responsible students get into college. So take responsibility for these tests and make a personal effort (without your friends) to discover these things for yourself.

yeah, www.collegeboard.com is soooooo helpful!! (you can register and become a member and they will send you emails with upcoming dates) and mrs cutts knows everything! your class councelor in the counseling office is very helpful too!

i have been looking up stuff for the Sat and Psat and the Act recently and here's what ive found out:
-PSAT registration is open now!! i think (im taking the one here on October 18th) you pay/register to take it at the student store (the cost is $25 and checks are made out to Rocklin high school)
-you get your Psat test back after they have graded it so you can see exactly what questions you got wrong so you can see what you need to learn
-to go to a UC, you have to take either the Act or the Sat. then after that you have to take 2 Sat subject tests (like chemistry, history, math, etc.)
-more information on the Sat and the Act are in the school planner that they gave you on page 8
-you sign up for the Sat and Act online!!! www.collegeboard.com

this is all really stressful!!! im freaking out and im only a junior!!
