I saw The Notebook (the movie) on TV today for the first time. I had read the book back in 7th grade but I didn't remember half of it so today really refreshed my memory! Even though I hate being sad, I have this weird addiction to really sad, moving romance stories, which I'm not sure is a good thing. For instance, Titanic starring Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet is my favorite movie of all time and I'm not even sure why because every time I see it, I cry my eyes out.
Well, back to The Notebook. I love Allie and Noah's romance! It's so incredible and inspiring. Someday I hope I know what it is to share a love so deep that it defies fate and science. Sooo I guess everyone on the journalism staff now knows I'm a hopeless romantic, but I guess that's okay :)

Nostalgic Thinking
I like blogging. Blogging is my favorite.
Never mind, I'm too lame to recreate an Elf saying. ANYWHOO, when I blog, I feel like I'm in Gossip Girl, but wait! Nothing happens in Rocklin, and this isn't fabulous New York. This town is full of entitlement and people who can't take responsibility. If you can't tell already, I don't enjoy Rocklin all too much. However, I am going to make the best of where I live and try to focus on when I can travel and write stories that will hopefully someday become New York Bestsellers.
Isn't it amazing how in our high school careers, we find ourselves, or most importantly where we want to be and who we want to become after these four years of our lives are over. I mean, I'm already becoming a sophomore, am already figuring out what I want my life to be like, and already have experienced enough to change who I was. In these four years we realize what is important to us and what is not. We understand things we didn't before and suddenly we understand how relevant it is to stray away from what we are pressured into. We figure out that we really don't have much time in our high school careers, and when it is us wearing those blue gowns walking into the gym for our last rally, we appreciate the good and the bad, and we cry for the awkward freshman year and laugh at we learned, and we say goodbye
Senior Portraits
So I wanted to get my senior portraits done so I don't have to worry about them so I went and got them done the other day at Prestige and it was incredibly WEIRD. I do not feel like a senior still so I put on the cap and gown and held a fake diploma and smiled but inside I still feel like I'm always going to live in Rocklin and graduating is still years away. It was a fun experience though because I definitely felt like more of a senior when I left because I knew that was my last high school picture ever. Also I went through the class of 2013 pictures and noticed only 1 person had lipstick on in all of the senior pictures so I decided I would be that 1 girl for my class (hopefully no one else did it..) so I wore my bright coral lipstick and it felt good because I wanted to have my unique spastic personality come across in my photos and I think I did just that. I also painted my nails like a really awesome gold that matched the 14' that was on the tassel on the cap they make you wear and I was like 'WOOP WOOP DIDN'T EVEN PLAN IT' haha...to all you other seniors...have fun!
Paris
Hi guys! I hope your trips and summer have been great so far :) I know Liz visited Paris and now it is my turn soon although my trip will be a lot different. I am living with locals for 3 weeks and I am going to make a documentary about it so look forward to that because it should be pretty fun. So far I have done a lot of swimming, talking, staying up late, eating, and watching tv, oh...and planning for next years staff! So many ideas that I'm getting ready to put into action. I'm really excited to have new staff and judging from the meeting/party we had everyone is genuine and intelligent so I know we will have a great year. If you have any ideas just tell me or post them on the facebook page. Now...I should probably start packing because I have never packed for this long of a trip before and I really don't want to forget something. Also I have been driving my car all the time and now I have to switch to walking everywhere and taking the metro because the family I'm with doesn't have a car (they live in paris, so there is no need) And the cars that are there are probably so small! I just hope my giant luggage fits in the taxi when I get there! Wish me luck
Ask Ally
I really enjoy blogging. I wish I could blog like Jenna from Awkward, but my life just isn't as interesting as hers is. However, I do find I am wise beyond my years, and have been told to give darn good advice. With that said, how cool would it be to have an advice column?! *cough cough hint nudge* ASK ALLY. Anyways, happy last days of June to you all:)

Amusing Wigs
This blogging thing is pretty new to me but so far the idea of it is pretty chill. I don't know about any of you but so far my summer hasn't been half bad. We all vow that each summer will be memorable in great ways and fortunately, I've stuck to my oath. My, shall you say, cousin Kyra came up from the desert, Barstow specifically, last Monday and boy is she a handful. These past few days have been a blast and I'll be sad to see her leave this upcoming Sunday. But to fill her Rocklin experience with as many entertaining factors as Rocklin can offer, we took her to Old Sac today and because she brings out the crazy in all of us, we tried on wigs at the store, Evangeline's. Of course it was hilarious and amusing and I recommend to try it sometime, who knows, maybe you can pull of a hot pink bob cut.

Movies
So as some of you might know, the movie Monsters University was released to theaters yesterday. I'm a huge Disney/Pixar fan and I absolutely loved Monsters, Inc. as a child. I've been dying to see this movie ever since it was in the pre-production phase. I have yet to see it, mostly because of an insanely busy schedule and prior commitments, but I cannot wait to finally be able to watch it, hopefully this weekend. It's gotten pretty great reviews, and unlike the direct-to-DVD sequels Disney has done before, this one looks like it may hold a torch to the original. Pixar is usually pretty good with sequels (the Toy Story movies for example) so I have very high expectations!
Also, this year they announced that the Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory, would be released in 2015. Yet another fantastic movie to look forward to!
