Dreams Come True?

This last Sunday, I went off to Disneyland. I haven't been there in three years and this time, my main goal was to get pictures of ALL the face characters. Lucky for me, most of them were found in towns-square and in the parade. But I did also get to FINALLY meet and greet my two favorite characters- Tinkerbell and Merida.
But going to Disneyland and California Adventure at this age really made me think about something- most of us grow up around some sort of television channel and all of it's shows, while others grow up with movies. Most of the people I know that grew up with Disney have said that the magic was lost when they became a teenager. But going there now, I feel like the magic only strengthened. Sure, it's cliche. To the extreme. But it only made me want to really want to work there.
I mean, that's what everyone keeps saying, right? Work where you feel the happiest? Yeah, big dreams, not gonna happen, yadah yadah yadah. But some dreams come true, right? Especially in Disney?
Only the future will know.
But yeah, so I got the pictures, then I saw the fireworks, Fantasmic (which is SUPER awesome!!!) and then World of Color (again, saw it the last time, except this time Merida and Brave was put in to the mix), but still amazing!

Eh

I don't know what to blog about. I haven't done anything mildly interesting this break, other than going to Riverside with my Mock Trial team, and playing tennis. I'm going to attempt to begin my homework today so I don't have to worry about it for the next three days.
.....
Its mah birthday in 6 days. :D

Spring break!

So far during Spring Break, I went skiing for two days, I went and toured Azusa Pacific University, and I am going to Disneyland and two other colleges while I am down in SoCal. I couldn't believe how amazing Azusa was! It was so beautiful and it's in a great location. The only bad thing about it was their "blended treats". Do NOT get one under any circumstance. There is a reason that they give it for free to visitors. That's it for now.

...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I really don't want to blog right now. I actually don't want to do anything right now except eat and watch Law & Order: SVU.

Umm, state was fine, really a whole other level of dedication that you see. Elk Grove didn't even place which I thought was extremely weird. But I guess we stopped one team from placing/going on to nationals, so that makes me extremely proud. The what-was-supposed-to-be eight hour drive turned in 10 going to Riverside and 12 back. But I'm not complaining. I love (most of the time) my team and spending time together is what I want to do. I wish we placed, but I know next year, I will do everything in my power to get rid of the players that don't want to play, anybody that won't put forth their all.

Once I got home, I've gotten lazy and just outright laid-back. Homework isn't even in my mind as of now.  Anyways, my food is ready and I thought I had something to say, but I guess I didn't. See y'all when school comes around.

Awwwww yeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh! The Mock Trial team and I be headin' to Riverside in T-Minus two days and counting! I CAN'T wait!!!!!!!!!!!! Excessive exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!! happy faces! :D :D :D :D :D Just got some new shoes! I haven't gotten new shoes in years! I'm not exaggerating! It has been years since i got new shoes! Super pumped!

yessssssssss. :)

Plus

Of course I'm in plus still. It's really not that bad, but I hate wasting my time. As of right now, the only homework I'm focused on finishing is pre-calc, which is next class. The only thing is that I don't know how to do it, probability just confuses me... And there's a couple people here that I know, but I don't want to leave the safety of my counter-chair.

I really don't want to stay here, but the system requires me to, even though I turned in my essential skill. All I want is to do something, but I'm just bored. Man... Also, people, please make your blogs longer! It's no fun when a blog is like "I'm blogging, yay." and that's it.

I found something stuck to the bottom of my jeans (since my jeans go past my feet) and I can't tell if it's a dead bug or something gross. I don't want to take a guess, but it's kind of disturbing me. I'm so close to Spring Break I can taste it! Anyways, plus with me is so boring...Well, plus is boring in general, but today is just worse since I'M NOT ACCOMPLISHING ANYTHING. RAWR.

But life is good, especially the Walking Dead show. I really hope that Andrea dies...I know that sounds horrible, but c'mon girl. I really want to post more, but I don't want to ruin the show if somebody's behind on the season....

Spring Break Bound!

Sooooo....spring break is next week! I am honestly really excited for it...I need a break. I'm sure that everyone else does too! It's nice because spring break this year divides the second semester into pretty even halves.

My plans for spring break? Nothing. It's funny because I literally don't want to do anything...being busy does that to you. My siblings go to a private school so they have the next week off....which means sleeping in for me! No little buggers being loud to wake me up.

And last week was the end of the third quarter... I honestly think that most people on this campus, especially athletes, are disappointed with their grades right now. I have never had this problem...but I have two Bs! Oh well. I'll worry about that after spring break ;)

Spring Break!

Three more days! Three more until Spring Break is finally here! I'm sure most of you are probably just as excited as I am. It has been too long since we have had a break and I'm starting to get in a lazy kind of mood.

Two more tests this week and they are both in Bio, which is the hardest class I've taken in high school, then Assist-a-grad due on Thursday and just so many other things are happening this week.

I'm not really doing anything over spring break other than getting together with some family. Usually I'm not one that likes to stay home and do nothing for too long, but after this week comes to a close, I'm sure that it will sound amazing!

Good luck with all your tests this week everyone! Spring Break is almost here!

Prom, Sherlock, Hobbit, Disneyland, OH MY

So Saturday: Junior Prom. I know it's cliche, but man! I truly felt like a princess. Now, that's just my thing. It was amazing.
And then Monday: my favorite show began shooting scenes for the third season!!! (I am holding in my excitement right now, but if I act a little crazy, it's because it's getting closer to the day that the show premieres again!)
And today: THE HOBBIT COMES OUT! I REPEAT: THE HOBBIT CAME OUT ON BLUE RAY TODAY!!!
and then Spring Break starts on Friday!!! DISNEYLAND HERE I COME.

Sorry for the caps, but this week is one of the biggest weeks (with Saturday tagging along) that I've had in a LONG time.

Steubenville and Stupidity

Three juveniles have been convicted of sexually assaulting a girl while she was unable to give consent due to being under the influence of drugs. They have been sentenced to a minimum of  1 year and 2 years in prison, but may be there until the age of 21. Also, they must register as sex offenders.

Seems pretty just and straightforward, right? These youths committed an act that constitutes rape under the law of their state, Ohio, and are facing the consequences - which are significantly more lenient than what would have occurred had they been over 18 at the time of the crime.

But no, apparently a significant proportion of the people following the Steubenville rape case sympathize heavily with the defendants. Many observers, both near the small town and across the nation, believe that the victim is at fault for complaining, and that she is responsible for destroying the futures of the boys. A CNN correspondent said:
"It was incredibly emotional—incredibly difficult even for an outsider like me to watch what happened as these two young men that had such promising futures, star football players, very good students, literally watched as they believe their life fell apart."

Meanwhile, two girls from the area were recently arrested for "aggravated menacing" due to threats they made toward the victim over Twitter.

I find this horrifically perplexing. You could say I'm a bit softhearted when it comes to criminal justice and defendant's rights, but even I believe that there is no excuse for what those boys did, and that they deserve to face the force of the law - if they wanted to save their "bright futures", they shouldn't have assaulted that girl.  And why do people who have barely any connection to the victim or the convicted feel the need to further the girl's suffering? Do some people really think that being a star football player means a right to immunity from prosecution?

By the way, I am still unsure of how the first vowel in "Steubenville" is pronounced, but I'm going to go ahead and assume it's an "oo" sound so the title of this post sounds catchy.

Sick Days

I seriously hate being sick. You miss a lot of school, have to work extra hard to catch up while doing the regular work with the class, and instead of relaxing like you should when you are home, you feel miserable. That was my week last week. Tip: Do NOT get the flu. Now my Spring Break will consist of doing lots of make-up work. Joy...

So . . . Yeah.

Well, I don't know if I will be able to keep up with this whole blogging every week thing. It's not that I don't like to blog, just that it slips my mind. I also don't really know what to blog about most of the time. At least it doesn't take that much time :)

So . . . Yeah.

Spring Break

One week until spring break!!! I don't think I've looked forward to a week off so much since Christmas! Get it, get it?? .......

I like breaks.

I am literally counting the days until school gets out; I am so done with this school year already! (There's eleven weeks if you didn't know. Nine, once we get back from break, eight if you don't count CST week, and less once you take out weekends. I'M WAITING!)

I am so ready for senior year: six classes, leaving early, easier APs, and THE FACT THAT IT'S SENIOR YEAR!)

Plus, the looking-forward-to-college thing will be cool.

State and the Rest

I'm so excited, state for Mock Trial is just around the corner. Just three and a half more days of school until we depart! I'm really nervous since the scrimmage we had against Elk Grove kind of made us look bland. All their witnesses had character, which is somewhat unusual to what I'm accustomed to, but it was good to see what sort of team makes it to nationals. I feel really jealous, they had their own courtroom in the school and another room dedicated to the pre-trialers. I'm so jealous! I wish Rocklin had a room like that, but I guess we just need to get some attention before any of that happens. I mean, every student in Elk Grove High School knows what Mock Trial is. However, here, only some teachers and friends of participants know what kind of program it is. It's kind of sad, but I hope one day Mock Trial will become famous at Rocklin.

I'm starting to worry, not about school or extracurricular activities, but a future career. I don't know what to do. I love foreign language and psychology, but all I think about is going home in Spanish class and my eyes start to feel heavy in psychology. I know I love these subjects, but I have no motivation to do homework or work. I just don't know what to do for the rest of my life.

I really should get started on my homework, but again, no motivation. Just one more week! One more week! I don't know if I can make it...

A Thank You and Apology to the Flash Staff

thank you everyone for dealing with me this week! i know i've been really mean to everyone, so i mean...it does mean a lot. i've been pulling constant allnighters and noeaters and it's been rough. thank you especially to mr. nichols, who I'm sure i got pissed at once or twice unprovoked. when i'm tired and hungry, i tend to be a total bear and kleptomaniac and total freak, so thanks again. mason as well has dealt with my moods with the kind "just think about it when you feel better" line, and i swear, he is a lifesaver. today i did nothing but try to recover and slowly i am feeling better.

i apologize to everyone for my bad behavior. AW

Autobiography

I thought I'd write about who I am as a person.

I am a type-A highstrung Asian who loves to make lists of things to do. I am exceptionally good at puzzles, especially crosswords, and enjoy listening to Macklemore and The Shins. My favorite movies are The Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me. I shop at thrift stores and did so before it was cool because I like to save money, but I like to buy LOTS of clothes. My strengths are my sense of organization and my luck, while my weaknesses are my disregard for other people and my hyperactiveness. I do a lot of things and sometimes I lose control, but most of the time I have good intentions...The road to hell? If anyone catches that proverb.

My favorite superheroes are Batman and Hawkeye, and I always disliked Spiderman and Iron Man. Overall though, I prefer Marvel.

I'm writing this because I REALLY don't want to do my homework, but I do have a lot, so I best get on it.

Bushy Brows

I swear school needs to end! Or teachers need to just have a bunch of free days because my life is filled to the brim with stuff to do. I got places to go, and I got homework to do, and things to prepare for. I guess the best part is that I don't have to do any more speeches in my high school career, to my knowledge (seminars don't count). It's so relieving to know I don't have to stand in front of my peers and watch my teacher's eyes glaze over because they're so bored of speeches.

And of course, at this moment, I'm pushing off my homework because I'm so busy. It seems like my outlet to rant is Mckenna, Rahul, and Charisse. I just want to thank all of them because I seem like I'm just going to trip (literally) and then not want to get up after that because I'm so dead tired.

My life surrounds Mock Trial, which is a good thing, but I'm just sooo nervous because I don't know what to expect and I really hope my coach sits down and tells us his story of state and how it went and what he experienced, but I'm not sure if we'll get to that. I'M SO TIRED, at this point, I'm happy I'm not going to Junior Prom because I can use that time to just relax.

What's been bugging me lately are my eyebrows. They've been going crazy, mostly because of my negligence towards them, but they just keep growing and growing and I finally tweezed them yesterday, but I don't know, something is missing. Has anyone seen Carolyn's eyebrows? I just love her eyebrows and I always find myself staring at it when I see her, but it just makes me wonder, how can I get my eyebrows to do that? Will I pull it off? Haha, Juli problems...

I have nothing much to talk about, except people in Sacramento, were we in Sac? I dunno, but people are just so crazy. Rahul, Denzel, Mckenna, and I were going to awards for Mock Trial and we saw this lady at a cross walk, but she wasn't walking, even though the sign had the little white hand telling her to go. So, not knowing what to do, we waited for her. And as soon as the sign said DON'T WALK, she starts walking! All of us are just like, what is wrong with you? (Mckenna said that today to me seeing as how I was a pedestrian and nobody was slowing down, but I walked across anyways because PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO USE THEIR BRAKES, THAT'S WHY WE CHECK THEM SO OFTEN:/) But yea, and then a street down, there was a guy on a motorcycle just riding down the street...with his arms flung back and just joy-riding his motorcycle. You don't do that! Then, there was a really weird picture of a lady bending over, not touching her toes or anything, but with her hands up in the air. I just thought that was weird...that's not how you stretch...

school sports extracurriculars school sports repeat

It seems like I have not had a break lately! Sheesh! Although I did get to go to my best friend Brenda's dance show yesterday night ! She and all of her other dance friends were so good and graceful! I wish I had rhythm and I could move like they did. Haha. Even though I'm pretty busy, I guess its better than being bored and doing nothing, no offense for the people who aren't busy and such. The quarter ends this week and I'm excited because that means its getting closer and closer to summer! Can't wait! :)

Dance Show

The past week has been very hectic what with the dance show rehearsal's and shows. I really enjoyed it, but I am definitely glad that it's over, so I have time to do other things. So, I guess today's my homework day. Joy.

I guess I better start that homework... SO MUCH TO DO!!
