So I just read this article and I can NOT believe that people are this crazy. I just learned about the Holocaust this year in World History and that was already enough. But to have some people still believe in Nazi ideology... It's crazy!!
The poor kids. It is a good thing they were taken out of their home. Sadly, they are still stuck with their names until they can formally change it.
Why do people do that to their kids? It's beyond me. Now he wants visitation rights... Why would they give you visitation rights if you are such a nut job?!!?!?! They won't, unless they are crazy too!
Well, that's my rant for today. Good luck to ya kids.

Surprise, I'm still on campus
The title says it all. Congrats to everyone else who is not graduating and I know you'll keep the Flash going strong next year. Mason and I love you all, and we wish you happiness, success, and journalism in the future!
East Coast
So next week we are taking a train to the east coast. We leave on am-track from Sacramento. Our first stop is in Chicago. Then, we're going to Boston. And Cape Cod. And then New York, and they we'll fly back.
But its like four days on a sleeper train. I wonder if I'll get bored? I'll bring books and music and the summer reading requirement and a deck of cards because I never play cards anymore. So much fun packed into one small deck!! jk.
We got a nice new camera that we'll bring and hopefully we'll do ALL the touristy stuff because that's the most fun. In short, I'm SUPER excited and I think it'll be SUPER fun!!!! :)

Yearbooks
I still have a lot of signatures to get, but I keep leaving my yearbook at home!! I have major memory problems!! Oh well, I still have each class again so I should be able to get all of them. :)
Utah
I am going to Utah twice this summer and I only have one week in between the two visits. It is going to be crazy. I am going to drop off my brother at BYU for a week, and then I am going to be at BYU for another week at a college youth program called EFY. It stands for Especially For Youth. I am really excited because I will get to stay in the dorms. I went last year too and it was a really cool experience, and this year it will be even more fun because I will get to see my brother while I am there. I am also looking forward to buying a prom dress. When we drop my brother off at college, my mom and I are going to go prom dress shopping for next year. I know it is really far in advance, but it is really hard to find prom dresses with sleeves, and being Mormon I can't wear the sleeveless ones. I am hoping there will be more of a selection in Utah.

flash drives
flash drives are so cool. There is just so much stuff that can be stored on one small little stick. And they're really cheap!
The only thing I hate about them, is I loose them. ALL the time. Whenever I find one, I plug it into my computer and I find random files from some member of my family.
I'm sure there are plenty of flash drives in our house, so I could never justify buying a new one. But I can never find mine when I need it most!

movies from books?
almost, almost always, the movie remake of any book is worse. I end up hating them all, all the movies for even attempting to be as good of the books. Eragon? Failure. FAILURE!!! Lightning Thief? Failure! Inkheart? FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!! The biggest disappointment of my childhood was Ella Enchanted. I loved that book to death and must have read it around fifty times. No joke. ( it was pretty short) I memorized the first chapter. Anyway, I was crushed when Anne Hathaway turned my favorite book into a sad, cheap Cinderella-story film. (The book is based of the Cinderella story, but the movie made it worse.)
There are only three cases where its a tie. Those would be Holes, The Princess Bride, and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Those are the only three movies I have ever seen first, and read the book afterwards. So they were my first impression. And, they were exceptionally good movies as well. Normally the only decent movies are where the author is actively involved.
Every single time a new movie comes to theaters based off a book I've already read, I get super excited. But, I'm only setting myself up for disappointment.
