VP Debate

Everyone was just so surprised at Palin's performance last night during the VP debate!
-How did she possibly make it through without McCain there? And to think, she never cried once!
Perhaps everyone was so surprised because of our ridiculously low expectations. Palin held her own- marvelous! People, she's debating to become our VP not McDonald's manager! Of course she's expected to hold her own. She's also expected to help manage a country- not a state with the lowest population...
McCain made it a point (as he always does) to express just 'How proud he was of her!'- proud? A VP is supposed to be an equal, someone you can trust to help you keep the country in order, not your daughter whose just learning so much in her trip to the big city! Tell me, do you shake your VP's hand or kiss their cheek?
Expectations were so low because the McCain administration has kept her under wraps for so long. She has only had a few interviews (in which she made various flubs- but who doesn't?) with the media. Because the McCain administration had to protect their little ingenue before she was ready.
Everyone's holding breath: waiting for Biden to say something mean or for the questioner to ask a really supper hard question just knowing that delicate little Sarah will just fall into pieces.
Is this what we've come to? A woman is finally so close to the white house and we're glad because she didnt happen to make an exceptional fool of herself this time???
Biden still won the debate, I think he even loosened up for her- wasnt as ready as he would have been if he had been debating with someone more experienced. He was easy on her. In my opinion a big mistake on his part.
Palin did not do all that great. Did anyone count how many questions she sidestepped with "well in Alaska..." and various home-town-girly remarks. "Addressing the American people directly"- I feel like Im being talked down to!
The truth is- she doesnt know what she's doing (debating or leading). We are charmed by her sweetness; she's homey, she isnt formal, and her speeches dont have 'big words'. Who else had a nice homey attitude to them?...hmmm. Does George Bush ring a bell? Our current President. Or has everyone forgotten him by now?

I completely agree with those comments. Just two things. One; don't rant next time. Two; it is spelled super, not "supper".

Palin is a complete embarrasment. Thank goodness she spoke to the "Joe six packs" and soccer moms out there. That's clearly the mark of an intelligent VP. She supports both hockey and soccer moms,go team! Now imagine her waving her USA pom poms and playing the flute at the same time.
