Today the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that the law banning same sex marriage was against the equal protection clause within the Iowa State Constitution. The Court therefore legalized gay marriage with a unanimous vote! I was stunned when I saw the story on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/03/iowa.same.sex/index.html.
