How is it November in two days?? I honestly have NO idea where all of this time has gone. I feel like I was just beginning my final year of school, final season of XC, and enjoying being a senior. Then everything just happened. It has been a blur. Not to say there have not been amazing times along the way :) Camp winthers, taking advantage of my free block, and homecoming were very fun.
However, due to my sudden realization that time is passing by so quickly and we are over halfway done with first semester, I have decided that it is time for a change. I am going to enjoy the little things that happen and not let everything just fly by, while I am stressed out to the max!
This being said, I have had an amazing weekend so far :) League finals was fabulous! And the senior festivities were wonderful too :) Thank you girls!! My gangster hat was classic. haha And my poor broken flower that was trampled when the race started...I wonder what happened to that. It was wonderful :)
Today has been a great break from everything! I did have schoolwork, but it was very productive! I am extremely excited for Halloween tomorrow. It shall be very fun. We are going as Alice in Wonderland. Elisabeth and I shall be Tweedle Dee and Dum. Twins! And Holly will be Alice :) Unicef for the win!
Well, that was an extremely random blog! :)

Life as a dolphin (that is, in the pod)

Today is a very big day in my life. The day begins with a party that I orchestrated in my pod. What am I talking about you ask? Our seating group in journalism has become a little family. Every silver tuesday, we (Alisha, Keely, Ashley, Erika, Michelle and myself) have Fat Tuesday, a tradition I began on the first silver Tuesday of school. So today was our dear friend Keely's birthday, so we had a celebration for that, as well as Halloween. In the festive spirit, I decided to pull a prank. When Ashley left to go interview people, I grabbed all of her personal possessions, and hid them in a cupboard. I then proceeded to log out her computer, and log on as myself. With this part of the plan in place, I decided to unplug her mouse and keyboard. Now she's realized that her stuff is missing, but she hasn't figured out what happened to her computer yet. Now we are photoshopping pictures, as we have all of our work done. It's another wonderful day in the pod :D This afternoon, I have league finals. I'm so nervous, but for now, I'll just focus on our wonderful time in the pod. I'm photoshopping a birthday card with a rat on it, and erika is making a picture of nona with an old man.
football season coming to a close.
It is that time of the year when the football seaon finally ends. We play ten games that seem like only five. Our varsity goes on to playoffs which can add up to another four games. However, for the Freshmen and JV team the season ends next week. This is indeed one of the best years for the Rocklin football program with every football level at 6-2. The team to be most impressed with is this years JV team. There has a been a big difference in the team they were last year to the team they are now. A 3-7 record to a 6-2 record shows how much they have improved.
Keely's Birthday, My Life and Life as a Dolphin (That is, in the pod)

Keely's Birthday
Our pod is a wonderful, happy place today. And that is because it's MS. KEELY O'BRIEN'S BIRTHDAY!!!!
We have plenty of snackage (cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, popcorn, etc.) Even some decor: ballooons and pink foam crowns and what not. And although Keely may have been expecting some boiled potatoes from Brit Husmann, there are no potatoes in sight. What a happy birthday this is.
So everyone, wish her a happy birthday. Give her a hug. Tell her how wonderful Ireland is. Because it's Keely O'Brien's birthday and she deserve to have all her wishes come true.

Oh my goodness
There are so many ants in my pod. I try to scrape them off, but they still keep coming in. There's no food on the desk, but they are STILL here, maybe because of the cold weather, I don't know.

In other news, I've stopped eating sweets in an attempt to cut back on sugar. It made me kind of sluggish when I would eat a bunch of candy, and now I feel more energized. Because I used to eat a candy bar every day just because I have them around and that wasn't good. Sometimes it is hard, especially so close to Halloween, but it's not too hard. When I feel like eating something sweet I'll eat some mozzarella cheese. I love mozzarella cheese, but I ate the last of it last night so now I'll have to go to the store today and get some more.
Also today, I found this gorgeous cat online. I was looking up cats because for Halloween I'm going to be a cat lady.

Happy Halloween Weekend!
The day full of creepy costumes, scary movies, and yummy candy is just three days away! As I grow older, Halloween feels like less of a big deal than ever, yet I am the most booked for this weekend than I have ever been before.
When I was younger, I remember planning Halloween costumes in, literally, August. I remember going to the fabric store in the 108 degree weather in hopes of finding the perfect furry fabric that would later become my cute kitty cat costume with a little help from my Mom and her sewing machine.
This year, my friends and I are heading to the local Goodwill Saturday morning, just a day before Halloween. Here we will search for the craziest, most random clothing items that we can pull together for a makeshift, yet still Facebook-worthy (hopefully haha) costume. Honestly, it is really just an excuse to be sixteen and still go out and trick-or-treat for a little free candy.
Tonight I will continue a favorite tradition of the Murray family. Tonight our family will gather around the television to watch our beloved Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Every year I am just as excited to see Lucy dress up with that ugly witch mask, that seems to fit her so well, see Lionus wait for the "Great Pumpkin" out in that pumpkin patch all night, and, of course, see Charlie Brown get nothing but a rock in his trick-or-treating bag.
Tomorrow night I will be watching something a little spookier than I ever have for past Halloweens, especially not when I was a child. Although I am a HUGE Rocklin High sports fan, I thought it would be a little more festive to go to the movies Friday night instead of a football game. Tomorrow night I am heading over to the Century movie theatre with my brother's girlfriend to see the highly talked about, Paranormal Activity 2, and I couldn't be more excited to be totally freaked out!
And this year is totally different than any other Halloween that I remember. This year orange an black means a little more than just the traditional colors of the holiday; these two colors represent the Giants in the World Series! This could be the most exciting part of my jam-packed weekend! I can guarantee that I will have my Giants application up on my phone when trick-or-treating because I cannot miss a single moment of this exciting moment of San Francisco sports history, not even for candy!
Anyways, it should be a fun weekend with my friends and family to celebrate a fun holiday and hopefully Giants success!
